Key to the MAT vision, is the delivery of highly skilled specialist teachers across all our schools. Recruitment and retention is a particular challenge for smaller schools. By bringing together staffing needs across the MAT we have been able to recruit a secondary language and primary maths specialist to lead on language and maths teaching in all the MAT primary schools. The secondary school has been able to provide the computing teaching in one school and training in the others. MAT wide leadership opportunities have meant that we have been able to retain an EYFS expert and a primary SENCO. The ability for staff to train in all our schools forms the basis of our NQT recruitment strategy. Further such developments are key to our growth strategy.
